Baseball and Softball registration are in full swing. Registration deadline for regular fees ends April 1, after which time a $10 late fee will be applied to all registration.

Field Manager Position

Genola Town is looking to hire a Sports Field Manager.

Field Manager will attend all home games for grades 3-8, support young officials, and help with conflict resolution.

Must be over 18.

Games are typically Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 1-3 games each evening from 5:30-8:30pm.

Job begins with the 2020 Fall soccer season.

*A Genola Soccer uniform is required and is charged as a separate fee of $20

*Soccer socks are required as part of your child’s uniform, you may purchase your own, of any color, or you may choose to order Genola Green Soccer socks now, this is charged as a separate fee of $6.

*CHOOSE THE GRADE YOUR CHILD WILL ENTER DURING THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR. Note: We DO NOT play children up, age is NOT a factor, we go by grade only, please do not cheat your child’s grade, if it becomes apparent you have given us the incorrect information to get your child on an older team we will remove your child from the team and place them on the appropriate team with no refund for difference in team price.

*While I am willing to attempt to fulfill your requests to be placed with certain teammates please understand it is not always feasible, I will try my best with Pre-K through 2nd grade only, but no guarantees!* **All players 3rd-9th grade will be put through a fair and equal draft to create teams**

Fees explanation: All fees are used for equipment and field upkeep {water, fuel for mowing and raking, costs for equipment repairs, chalk for lines, new equipment, etc.} fees fluctuate from year to year to accommodate rising or falling costs for the above necessities.

2019 Baseball!!

I apologize to those who still prefer to use this Blog for recreation information and have been left out of updated information this past year. We opened a new source for information on Facebook, a page called Genola Town Recreation, please follow this page for the most up to date information!

FYI 2018 Soccer began a new chapter in Genola, Goshen and Eureka recreation. We were able to gather enough players for our 3rd-4th grade league to play between just us three towns successfully! And it was our best soccer year for that league yet! How does this pertain to Baseball? Well, we are hoping to do the same for our Mustang 3rd-4th grade baseball league this year! BUT it seems the only way to successfully do this is to run this league CO-ED rather than separating into baseball and softball teams. So please be aware that this is a strong possibility! Our three little towns have yet to have a meeting to further discuss this seriously for 2019 so this is not a sure thing, please, either way, do not hesitate to sign your girls up with Genola, Goshen or Eureka! We will find a place for them whether it be on a full softball team, on a CO-ED team or by refunding your registration in plenty of time to get you onto a Payson softball team. Our goal is to bring in enough Baseball and Soccer registration in future seasons to be able to play all ages between just our three towns rather than depend on Payson for a chance to play in a league.

2018 Baseball!!

Hello! I haven't seen many Baseball registration papers come in yet, if your child would like to play please get them registered NOW!

***Notice: 2017 Pony League boys! I have your pictures from last season, please e-mail me back so I can get them to you!

****Notice: 2017 Soccer Kids!! I have a significant amount of our 2017 season photos! Please e-mail me back so I can get them to you!

It is important for our older teams (Mustang, Pinto, Pony) to get some quality practice time in! We NEED to have teams filled and organized by March. I know it's hard to think about Baseball during winter months but it's time to register! Please, get your child registered ASAP at the Town Office, spread the word, get your friends kids registered! We were severely lacking in teams last year, let's not let that happen again this year! We will plan to start practices the first week of March so get registered! Games begin in May for the older kids, June for Coach Pitch and T-ball. Schedules will be similar to our 2017 schedules. We would LOVE to have girls softball teams this year, coach pitch and older, please do not hesitate to register your daughters! If we find we are short on players we will have adequate time to send you to Santaquin or Payson before their registration closes as long as you get registered ASAP!!

For your convenience I have attached the Baseball registration form, you may print it at home (or pick one up at the office), fill it out and return it to the Town office, either pay directly during business hours (M-Th 9:00-5:00) or any time after hours you may place your registration form plus payment in an envelope and drop it in the drop box.

Remember, we depend on parents to coach our kids! Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team! If you have a responsible teenager who knows baseball and works well with children, over the age of 16, they may coach as well! (just remember it's volunteer basis, not a paid job)

Also, we will be in need of Umpires! Anyone over the age of 14 is encouraged to apply! There will be recreation job applications at the Town office, I have also attached one here, if you, or a child of yours, or someone you know is interested please fill out this form and get it to the Town office ASAP! The sooner I have Umpires the more likely it is that I can get some training scheduled. THIS is a paid job!

2017 Baseball Sign ups!

Believe it or not it is time for Baseball Sign-ups!

Please register your child(ren) between January 15-February 27 at the Town office. I'm sorry, at this time we will no longer be accepting online registration. But you may print the Registration form and fill it out at home, place it in an envelope with your registration fee, and drop it in the drop box at the office any time day or night, or into the office M-TR 9-3 or F 9-12. Please fill out one per child and make note on your check which child(ren) you are paying for.

We are in need of Umpires! We pay! Please contact me for more information. We need experienced teens ages 16 and up and adult Umpires.

Soccer Pictures!

Soccer Pictures will be held on Thursday, September 1st at the old Genola Park. The signup sheet will be at the park for each team. Please make checks payable to 'Marcene Perry', if you have kids on multiple teams you can write one check, just be sure to write their names on each team sheet so I can put their names on their prints. Pricing will be as follows:

Genola Youth Baseball Registration is Open!

Registration begins January 8, 2016 and will continue through February 22, 2016.

This deadline coincides with Santaquin's deadline. It's important that we have a player count for each team. If we are unable to get teams together by this date, a refund will be issued and our players will be sent to Santaquin to participate in their player evaluation/draft.

Late registration will begin February 22, 2016.

(A $10.00 late fee will be applied during the Late Registration period.)
